DigiPack

This is the style of the CD case that we will need to make.
A digipak is a case that is more like a book style because it consists of a gatefold paperboard or card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding our CD in. However, a didgipak can also be made to hold DVDs too.
A digipak is often used for CD singles or special editions of the CD album.
Digipak-style cases became popular among record labels and recording artists in the early 2000's.
Also, they can be seen as more environmentally friendly because one manufactuer has announced100% post-consumer PET tray made from recycled bottles, this also eliminates the need for the brittle "teeth".
Many printers use recycled or sustainable material for the board stock.
Some examples of digipaks from star's are:

Research on the artist we are using and similar artist

4flava
we found their track of
http://www.unsigned.com/.
when typing their name onto google we then found a myspace that is theres and a youtube video.

http://www.myspace.com/4flava
this is a video i found on youtube of them performing their song

Other artists
other similar artists are saturdays, pussycat dolls and girls aloud. This is because they are all girl bands.

Saturdays:

Pussycat dolls:

Girls Aloud:

I think these are influences for 4flava as they are all similar and their music is similar to 4flava. Also, the girl are all young and glamorous which is also like the actual girl in the band 4Flava. That's why by watching these video it helps us set an image of how we have to act and put energy into our music video, it it looks good rather than cheesy and fake.

Purpose of the music video

The purpose of the music video is to raise profile of the band and make the artist 4flava bigger and the song well known.

TV CHANNEL/TIME SLOT

Our music video will be shown on all the music channels on television and all the radio stations. I think alot of the music channels would want to play our songs such as kiss 100, MTV base, viva, smash hits and flava. I think the radio channels that would be interested are capital, heart and kiss 100.
I think the time slot would be before and after school targeting teenagers but also at night when people want to relax and listen to music.
I think this song will be very popular at different times and on different channels. This is because their is a wide variety of target audience.

Filming

Today we have spent the evening down London. We have filmed in various locations such as Madame tusuads which we asked for permission, Trafalger Square, And Embankment filming the London Eye.We would have completed filming but due to a dancer dropping out we just have to film the grafitti scene one more time with the new dancer. We are going to film this thursday or friday the grafitti scene. Filming will defiently be completed by the end of the week. So by next week we should be editing!!!

Filming

We have now filmed the hot tub scene, the scene with Ian in, and a scene with a girl dancing on her own. This means we only have one more scene to film and we plan to do this on Monday.

Storyboard explained more in depth

This is a video of our storyboard being explained further, as the pictures don't explain our video as much, so we went more into depth. Me and Kayleigh also wore pink jumpers and black trousers on purpose to show we are working in a team.

Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen

Born down in a dead man town
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground
You end up like a dog that's been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up

Born in the u.s.a.,
I was born in the u.s.a.
I was born in the u.s.a., born in the u.s.a.

Got in a little hometown jam
So they put a rifle in my hand
Sent me off to a foreign land
To go and kill the yellow man

Born in the U.S.A...

Come back home to the refinery
Hiring man said son if it was up to me
Went down to see my v.a. man
He said son, don't you understand

I had a brother at Khe Sahn
Fighting off the Viet Cong
They're still there, he's all gone

He had a woman he loved in Saigon
I got a picture of him in her arms now
Down in the shadow of the penitentiary
Out by the gas fires of the refinery
I'm ten years burning down the road
Nowhere to run aint got nowhere to go

Born in the u.s.a., I was born in the u.s.a.
Born in the u.s.a., I'm a long gone daddy in the u.s.a.
Born in the u.s.a., born in the u.s.a.
Born in the u.s.a., I'm a cool rocking daddy in the u.s.a.
